Needle Felted Pet Portraits
on cotton or linen
A portrait of a loved pet is something special to cherish forever. It makes a special keep sake of your pet, as well as those you've lost and who need to be remembered.
They also make a perfect gift to give to someone.
Your portrait can be of your cat, dog, horse, rabbit or other beloved pet and will be of their head and neck on a blank background.

Your pet portrait will come hooped, instead of being in a frame. There are two hoop sizes that I work with, an 8 inch hoop or a 12 inch hoop and you can have additional pets on your portrait. Up to a maximum of 3.

For prices of my pet portraits - please go to the prices page.

The time your portrait will take is around two weeks according to how much work is involved.

I am an experienced pet portrait artist and I used to draw my pet portraits in pastels, but due to my found love of needle felting, I now offer needle felted (wool paintings) of my pet portraits.

If your pet has passed and you have some of their fur or hair, I can add this into the portrait for you.

Photos
Once you have placed an order with me for a pet portrait, I will require your photos of your pet or pets, for me to work from.

-
Your photos need to be clear, sharp, good quality close up's of your pet or pets. The more detail there is in the photograph, the more detail I'm able to put into your portrait.
-
I can work from one photo of your pet if you only have one photo, but if you're able to send me a couple of photos this will help me get to know a little more about your pets character.
-
If you want to use a photo that has been taken by a professional photographer for your animal portrait, then I will need their permission to use it.
-
Once I've recieved your photos, I will look through them to make sure they're suitable for me to work from. I will then confirm if your photos are suitable so I'll be able to proceed with your portrait.
The Procedure
-
I will look at your photos and will choose one main photo to work from for each pet you want on your portrait and will use the other photos to get the character of your pet or pets.
-
I will then sketch out the portrait of your pet or pets and using your photos and my sketch I will start creating your portrait.
-
When your portrait is finished, I will email a photo of your pet portrait to you for your approval. Just in case there are any adjustments needed.
-
Once you are happy with the portrait and have approved it. I will ask for the final payment. Once again, I will send you a PayPal invoice for you to pay on.
Shipping and Packaging
-
Your pet portrait will be sent tracked, insured and signed for. Once it has been dispatched I will email you the tracking number.
-
I take great care in packaging my portraits before they're sent to you, to help keep them safe while travelling to you.
